My name is Rima, wife of 25 years (eek!!) and mother of two grown up sons. Originally from the UK I have lived in Zimbabwe, Africa since 1994. I work full time at a high school where I am the school librarian and also help students with their University applications. I love my job!!

I started quilting in September 2015 and have become addicted. I also love sewing, knitting, crochet and virtually any type of creative hobby you can think of. I am hoping to be able to share with you things that I am currently making or things that I want to make along with amusing stories about my funny little life.

    1. Hi Millicent,
Thank you so much for your kind comment. The Harare Quilters Guild meets on the second Saturday of the month at Larmenier on Ridgeway North in Borrowdale. The annual fees are $10.00 and it cost $1.00 at the door to get into the meeting. We are a very mixed bunch in age range and experience but the one thing we have in common is a love of quilting and a desire to improve our skills. Why not pop in in January?
      Kind regards

  2. Hello Rima,
    Lovely blog!!
I have a beautiful quilt that my step mother made for me in Canada. My dogs have torn a big hole in it! Do you know any one in Harare that could fix it?
    Thank you so much!

    1. Hi Tiffany,
Thanks for your comments. Where do you live? I would need to check with fellow quilters and would obviously need to see a photo.
      Kind regards
