I’m amazed and relieved, that after about two months work, on and off. The Debbie Bliss Aran Tunic Dress is finished.
As you know if you read my previous blog I did make some changes to the pattern when I battled with one of the panels. But I hope you agree that the finished article looks great. The panels that I changed are the twisted chain pattern at either side of the front and back.
The Scheepjes Merino Soft wool, lives up to its name and is super soft. The slit pockets at the front of the Tunic are a really cute touch.
I would quite like to be snuggling up in this Tunic myself. My cousins granddaughter Clemmie will have that honour instead, wearing this with some leggings in the winter, I expect.
Looking forward to giving it to her in August when I go to the U.K. for my sisters wedding.
It was a disappointing time these holidays as far as my quilting is concerned with only one mini quilt completed, which I’ll show you shortly. I have also had to completely rethink one of my planned show quilts. I seem to have lost my sewjo at the moment, but true to form it will probably return with avengence once I am flat out at work again. With a number of knitting projects on the go, including a couple of the chunky coats that I made last year and some new cardigans. I am going to be pretty busy.
